Speculative Fiction

This section is for hard science fiction and "gap-fill" theories such as psychic abilities, warp-speed travel, position-relative time travel, and stories involving human adaptations and technologies that have strong analogies to present-day applications of known technologies and their capabilities. In short: a world for stories containing scientific augmentations with (at least) semi-plausible explanations.

Soft Science Fiction   ( 1 Articles ) This category is for science fiction with gapped or weakly explained elements of the superior technologies present. "Space Opera" fits well here. Paranormal   ( 5 Articles ) The paranormal category fits into speculative fiction only so much as it fills the gaps of what we do not yet know about the mind, consciousness, life and death, and the possibilities of innate fundamental interconnectedness, the human soul, and the immortality of changing matter. As such, these stories could be about the transmigration of souls, a person who develops psychic abilites, ghosts, possession and the like.
